Haifa LGBT House: The communities house for Pride and Tolerance
Beit Hakehilot Le’Ga’ava Ve’sovlanut – Communities’ House for Pride and Tolerance – the first LGBT community center in Haifa, was inaugurated in Februar 2017. The center, located in the Hadar neighborhood, a pluralistic and liberal neighborhood in the city, was recently renovated to fit the needs of the community.
The center’s space features a “living room” to be used as a social space for the members of the community, three halls for events, a clinic in cooperation with the Israel AIDS Task Force, offices of various LGBT organizations and a coffee shop. In addition to activities of the various LGBT organizations, the LGBT center will also offer workshops, screenings, lectures, exhibitions and Shabbat services.
Haifa LGBT House also take part in Haifa Pride — is an annual event which takes place in Haifa, Israel, in celebration of the LGBTQ community. Haifa LGBT English-Speakers Group
Haifa LGBT English-Speakers Group (ESG) is a welcoming community for people who identify as LGBTQ+ and speak English (either natively or otherwise). They cater for new Olim, veteran Olim, and Israelis alike, as well as those just visiting the area.
